The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019 will pay tribute to one of the most enigmatic and successful legends of motorsports, Mr Michael Schumacher. Cars from the legend’s seven world championship wins will be on display at the festival, some of which will be driven by other legends such as Damon Hill. Some of Schumacher’s touring cars and junior cars will also be displayed.
Michael won’t be there himself as he is still in Switzerland, recovering from a serious head injury from a skiing accident in 2013. However, many of his closest friends, family members and career rivals such as Damon Hill and Mika Häkkinen will be paying tribute to this amazing man and his incredible career. The life of Sir Jackie Stewart will also be celebrated at this year’s exciting Goodwood Festival.
Michael Schumacher is one of the world’s greatest ever motorsports drivers and certainly the most successful, being the only one who has won seven world championships. His son, Mick Schumacher, is following in his father’s footsteps and is currently competing in this year’s F2 championship with the Prema Theodore Racing team.
